6th Meeting of Committee/Consortium held online under the leadership of Convener/Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob (TI) at Vice Chancellor Secretariat, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB). According to notification of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), IUB lead Theme II: Climate Change, Environment & Pollution (Waste Management)” among all Universities of Punjab-Pakistan. The detail of Agenda was briefed by Dr. Wajid Nasim Jatoi, Focal Person CCSC & Director International Center for Climate Change, Food Security & Sustainability (ICCFS), IUB. In this meeting different members participated and contributed in the first draft “Climate Change Policy Action Document”. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore; appreciated IUB for working continuously on Theme II & suggest some excellent improvements to carry the task at National Level by suggesting improvements in National Climate Change Policy as published by Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan via this Consortium. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum (Patron-CCSC); Dr. Muhammad Abdullah (Member); Dr. Nargis Naz (Member); Dr. Samar Fahad (Member Syndicate); Dr. Abid Rashid Gill (Member); Dr. Mazhar Abbas (Representative from CUVAS, Bahawalpur); Dr Abdul Ghaffar & Dr Naveed Ul Haq (Representative, UVAS, Lahore) were present in this meeting. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum concluded the meeting and it was decided to hold the next meeting (physically) at Focal University (The IUB) on Tuesday, 23 May 2023 in which all members of Theme II (as notified by PHEC) have to sit together to finalize “Climate Change Policy Action Document”. At the end, The Convener, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob (TI), VC-IUB, appreciated all the participants to attend the meeting and had a great discussion.
