A 03-days International Workshop on “Climate Smart Agriculture for Pakistan” has been successfully completed on 02 Dec 2022, that was jointly organized by 1) Division of International Cooperation, Administration & Management Institute (AMI), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), China & 2) International Center for Climate Change, Food Security & Sustainability (ICCFS), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, (IUB), Pakistan and 3) International Center for Climate & Environment Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCES), China. In this international event more than 60 participants from different organizations/Universities/Research organizations/Private Sectors participated. Honorable Ms. MO Dan, Vice President, AMI, MARA-China gave her opening remarks & vote of thanks and appreciate the cooperation and collaboration with Pakistan through this great event. In this workshop Chinese Speakers/Scientists presented their scientific findings & practical case studies keeping the importance of this event. Furthermore, on behalf of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob (T.I), Vice Chancellor-IUB, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum conclude this international workshop by appreciating the organizers and valuable speakers to have words of wisdom along future opportunities and possible practical solutions & onward collaboration and cooperation between different stakeholders at international level. The focal persons of this event were Dr. LIU Jinping (MARA, China), Dr. LIN Zhaohui (ICCES), China & Dr Wajid Nasim Jatoi (ICCFS-IUB), Pakistan. In the end, Dr Wajid Nasim Jatoi, Director International Center for Climate Change, Food Security & Sustainability (ICCFS) highly appreciate the International Chinese Speakers Mr. Yin Xiaogang (China Agricultural University); Mr. Zhang Weijian (Institute of Crop Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences); Mr. Zhang Yingjun (China Agricultural University); Mr. Gao Shangbin (Senior Researcher, Executive President of Chinese); Mr. LIN Zhaohui (International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences (ICCES), Chinese Academy of Sciences); Mr. Wang Quanhui (Rural Energy and Environment Agency, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs); Mr. LIU Jinping (Honourable Moderator; Division Chief, AMI, MARA) for sparing their precious time to open the ways for collaboration, cooperation and opportunities for scientists, students, early career researchers etc and acknowledge the participants for making this event successful. This was the first interactive workshop and it will pave the way to more collaborative initiatives, projects, joint-ventures between two iron friends (China & Pakistan).
