Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) was successfully hosted by The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) & being organized by PAK SARZAMEEN, Bahawalpur in collaboration with YOUNGO-official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). There were lot of speakers/panellists includes Dr. Malik Muhammad Yousaf-AZRI-PARC-Bahawalpur, Muhammad Imran-PCRWR-Bahawalpur, Mr. Sher Shah Khan Bangash, Country Contact Point – YOUNGO-UNFCCC, Mr Hamza Qaiser, Organizer, RCOY Sri Lanka-UNFCCC, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Prof. Dr. Sammar Fahad, Dr. Muhammad Adnan Bukhari, Dr. Abid Rashid Gill, Muhammad Sufyan, Regional Contact Point – LCOY Wasaib, Mr Abdullah Amir, President PAK SARZAMEEN, Bahawalpur, Syed Fareed Mohiuddin, LCOY/RCOY Organizer, Co Founder Skynok, along participants from Army Public School Bahawalpur and other relevant schools, colleges, also participated in Exhibition as well as all proceedings of this great event related to CLIMATE ACTION AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT. At the end, Prof. Dr Shazia Anjum, Patron CCSC & Dr. Wajid Nasim Jatoi, congratulated PAK SARZAMEEN, Bahawalpur, YOUNGO-UNFCCC, for successful completion of event. Appreciation goes to Public Relation Office’s Team, Directorate of Students Affairs Team (especially IUB Climate Change Society), IUB-DoST Team & all other stakeholders of IUB for supporting and making successful event. We hope this event will bring the opportunity to students to participate in COP29 (https://unfccc.int/cop29) on fully sponsored fellowships to represent IUB-Pakistan at International forum and become the voice of locality in terms of CLIMATE CHANGE, ITS IMPACT & POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS from local & international donors.
