An orientation to the 1st batch (Spring 2024) of students of Diploma in Agricultural Sciences (DAS) was organized by Agri Community College (ACC), Faculty of Agriculture & Environment (FA&E). ACC members welcomed the DAS students and orientation aims to familiarize students with the diverse facilities available within the FA&E (its departments, Institutes, Directorates). The visit was lead by different ACC members including Dr. Muhammad Adnan Bukhari (Agronomy), Dr. Hamid Nawaz Bhatti (Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies), Dr. Waseem Haider (Horticulture), Dr. Umair Riaz (Institute of Forest Sciences), Dr. Muhammad Latif (Estate care), Dr. Zaffar Iqbal (Inter Cropping), Dr. Iftikhar Ali (Plant Breeding & Genetics), Mr. Hammad Hafeez (Food Science and Technology); Dr. Imran Khalid (Agriculture Extension); Dr. Att-ur-Rehman (Plant Pathology), Dr. Sohail Akhtar (Entomology), Dr. Muhammad Ali (Agro-Industry and Environment) and brief the DAS students about their departmental facilities, degree programs, demonstrated their laboratories'/field work and show the research being carried out at their respective departments. At the end, All DAS students & ACC Members have interactive session at Vice Chancellor Secretariat, BJ Campus where Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi, Dean, FA&E.; Prof. Dr. Wajid Nasim Jatoi, Principal ACC & ACC Members (Dr. Hamid Nawaz Bhatti, Dr. Muhammad Asad Bashir, Dr. Muhammad Latif, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dr. Umair Riaz, Mr. Hammad Hafeez etc) welcomed the DAS students and encourage them to learn practical aspects from teachers that have international exposure and benefit from this great opportunity.
